Congratulations to President-Elect Barack Obama and his campaign. As others have noted, it truly was a well run campaign and you have to applaud that, if only from the perspective of punditry. Additionally, it is hard not to sit back and marvel at the historical achievement that has been achieved. My hope is that the election of a minority President serves as a shining example to millions of Americans who find themselves persecuted for their skin color, creed or sexual preference. Through hard work, intelligence and self-sacrifice, individual dreams and aspirations can be made real.
Truly, anything it is possible in a great nation like ours. I am fully aware that this is a self-congratulatory statement. I am also fully aware that it is true.
On a side note, I was truly impressed by John McCain's concession speech. Say what you want about Mac but I still believe he would have been a President we could all be proud of.
On the docket:
1) Conservatism and the Biography of President-Elect Barack Obama.
2) A look back at the Bush Administration
3) A look forward to what the Republican Party must become
4) Sarah Palin in 2012? (why that's not a good idea)
